SIMON TOLHURST

Simon is a Partner in HWL Ebsworth’s Litigation Team and has over 20 years experience in commercial dispute resolution matters.

 

Simon prides himself on developing a high performance culture within his team with an emphasis on client service and practical commercial resolutions. Simon works closely with the HWL Ebsworth Corporate and Commercial Group and has a clear understanding of the need for lawyers to facilitate the process rather than becoming a hindrance to it. 

 

Whilst Simon has recent experience litigating in the Supreme Courts of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, and in the Federal Courts, often his skills are called upon by clients wishing to avoid or minimise their court exposure.  In those cases, it is Simon's strategic advice that facilitates the client's ability to negotiate a well leveraged deal from what would otherwise be a costly and lengthy dispute.  

 

Simon has a Masters of Laws (Hons) from University of Melbourne which focused on consumer law, competition law and resources.
